Kids spend a lot of time reading. And schools these days enforce 30 minutes of reading homework a day, by and large. So as long as your child is reading anyway, why not try something new, by suggesting your child read some books about business. There are so many amazing reads available today, written by kids, parents, and famous business people, that you’re sure to find something your own child will love and find inspiration in. Below are some of the best entrepreneur books for kids that we’ve found yet! You never know, you may also get inspired with an idea for yourself – or something you can start with your children!
Mo’s Bows: A Young Person’s Guide to Start-Up Success: Measure, Cut, Stitch Your Way to a Great Business
I frst heard of Moziah Bridges on Shark Tank. After this young business mogul received an investment from Damond John (who also wrote the foreword in this book), his name and story stuck with me. And he had such a great presence and charisma, that I just knew this kid was going to do amazing things. And how amazing that this young child had convinced an apparel guru to put a large sum of money into his business!
So when I saw he’d written an entrepreneur book for kids, I immediately snapped it up for my sons. I knew that reading a book written by another child would really help put a concept like entrepreneurship into perspective for my little kids.
This book is full of Mo’s personal account of what it took to get his business idea right, and how he navigated it all with the help of his family, all while going to school.
This book is worth every word. I highly recommend picking up a copy and reading it with your children.

What Do You Do With An Idea?
For a slightly younger reader, this book is sure to bring inspiration and get little minds thinking about their own big ideas. Winner of multiple awards and counting, What Do You Do With An Idea shares the story of one child’s idea and how it came to be.
This read is chalk-full of little lessons that are relevant to kids, and that we as parents try to instill every day – from building confdence, to having patience, to solving problems.

Kid Start-Up: How YOU Can Become an Entrepreneur
Another story with ties to a Shark Tank cast-member/investor, this book was co-written by Mark Cuban, along with Shaan Patel and Ian McCue. It’s truly inspiring to kids, and empowers them to go ahead and move forward with a business idea, rather than waiting until after high school or college.

The Toothpaste Millionaire
A fctional tale of kid entrepreneurs, this story starts at the heart of how many business start – with a problem. Even in my own child’s ffth grade class, they’re taking an Entrepreneurship course – and they’re starting by trying to create a business that solves a problem.
So even though this story falls under the fction category, it’s full of lessons and stories along the way that will ring true for any child.

How to Turn $100 into $1,000,000: Earn! Save! Invest!
The title says it all. There are three points to learn here, as the authors break down what it takes for kid entrepreneurs (or anyone, for that matter) to have a successful business.
First, you need to Earn your money. Then, you need to Save it. And fnally, you need to Invest to grow.
This is a really easy read, and it’s full of real-world examples (think: what some of today’s billionaires did for their very frst jobs) that make growing a savings or a business feel really doable.
